I was looking for an 1/48 Hurri for this build...even if it is the Devil Scale...as I promised a friend I would build a 1/48 scale model in 2007. (I'm sure he expected a Tamiya or Hasegawa, but he should know better.) Thankfully I found one a few weeks ago at our Cleveland Model Show for $3. I wanted to use the DH prop, so I originally thought about doing a RCAF Sea Hurricane. But that would require conversion, and well I tend not to finish things that get involved. Back to the books...well how about P5170 the first CC&F build Hurricane? It later was sent to the UK and may have served in the Battle of Britain. Here is a picture of my subject the day before its first flight:
This photo looks very monochromatic, so I'm not sure what the scheme is yet. I'll probably go with red primer, unless someone has a better suggestion.
