Collectors choice.
Fifty splendid kits.
1. SM79 Sparviero-Artiplast
2. SM79 Sparviero-Airfix
3. Hawker Fury-Inpact
4. Gloster Galdiator-Inpact
5. Bristol Buldog-Inpact...

Well, I've made two of those. It's interesting to see some very dubious subjects included, and an ungodly amount of Monogram. Was the fella getting a kickback from them or something?

My opinion:

6. Hawker Hurricane-Frog

Ugh, no, but it might have been the best at the time. What was the competition, the Airfix Hurri IV?

7. P-38 Lightning- Monogram

1/48 Still holds it own today.

8. Blackburn Shark-Frog

Nice.

9. Brewster Buffalo-Aosima

Garbage even then. How did it make this list?

11. Grumman Bearcat-Monogram
12. Mustang P-51B-Monogram

Beautiful little gems.

13. Boeing P-26-Revell

Nice.

20. P-40B-Frog

One I've always been curious about. I think it shares some shape issues with its Academy clone? Might have to track one down someday.

27. Lysander-Hawk

1/48. Not bad.

32. P-40B-Revell

Revell never did a P-40B. Wonder if he means Monogram in 1/48 or the 1/72 Revell P-40E

35. Hurricane-Monogram
36. Mosquito-Monogram

1/48. I loved these as a kit. Many many options. Sadly, they don't really stand up well today.

42. SE5A-Revell
43. Boeing Kayder-Revell

Two more nice Revell kits.

50. Curtis Goshawk-Monogram

Another Monogram 1/72 gem.

For your guys in Europe, check out the 1/72 Monogram kits if you can find them. The Bearcat, Tigercat, P-51B, and the four little 30s Biplane are little gems even today, and appear to be a little less well known then they are in the U.S.

I built one of those a little while back, my detailed build of it is on the Frog GB, see:

It was OK, fit was quite good. But nothing to write home about. I also have the Academy P40B too and it is very similar, a virtual clone.

My 1973 edition gives a slightly different list
I count 191 pages.
