IJN tone gets built by way of celebrating a new tool Tone soon to be released by Fujimi
The base Aoshima kit is about 20 years old. Replaced all small AA guns: 6x25mm twin mounts, 6x25mm triple mounts, 20x13mm single machine guns with fiddly PE. Added ribbing to main turrets using stretched sprue. Replaced crane, catapault, bridge windows, radars etc with PE. Added 4 seaplanes for a dash of colour.
This is the first of a batch of 4 ships I'm building con-currently. Next up for finishing will be the light carrier Ryujo (again, a new tooling is coming out, so the old one gets built!)

Wonderful detail as usual, the funnel is almost Gieger-esque. But what is the big strap around the life boat? _________________ Panel lines should be seen but not heard. (2009 A:B:C=25:10:1) (2008 A:B=10:9)
This week I'm mostly wondering if I'll finish a kit before C*****mas!
