Great book to dive in and out of.
Of particular interest is the friction between Aifix Magazine editor and Airfix when articles described how to fix shortfalls in the kit.
I distinctly remember the price hike in kits and in a sales list it blamed it on the oil crisis. Yes I have found a mention of it, but not at the time I remember it.
It's also a good survey of all Airfix products and in that sense it filling the gaps left by Mr Ward in his previous publications.
The book suffers from not having a critical editor. Some paragraphs need explaining and just because his documents speak in business jargon, does no lend authenticity to the book - reading it 'untranslated' is irksome.
