Bloody good effort, David! Ollie is the moderator on this one, so he needs to decide if you should post to the Gallery - either way, I think you did a good job sticking with it to the end. See - you CAN finish a model! Very Happy Now, to the question - what are you building next weekend? Laughing

Next weekend? Paul, I'll take that as an invitation from you for the modelwife and modelchild to come spend the weekend with you in AZ. Laughing

That is the only way I can pull a weekend build off. It is sad to note, that my model production in the last 48hrs equaled my production from all of last year. Embarassed

I can tell you that if the modelwife and modelchild do go on another out of town trip I would love to do another blitz. Mr. Green

If/when that happens, there's certainly no reason why you'd have to wait for an official Blitz. Very Happy

Incidentally, I was talking to Jack K. about this yesterady - he looked at me as if we were nuts! Laughing

I told a number of folks in my local club about this. All in all they were very interested in it. I know several followed my build. (Mostly to see me fall flat on my face, I am sure.) Smile I have the reputation as an EXTREMELY slow builder.

I will tell you that I'd recommend the experience to anybody. I'd probably recommend the two-12 hr sessions over the man-build 24hr straight session, but I got lot out of it.

Thanks Jim.

I highly recommend one of these to get the modeling juices flowing!

Looks great, David, good result. Interesting comment about it equalling last year's output. It does always make me wonder after completing a Blitzbau; if I can finish a model in a day, I should be able to complete hundreds of models a year instead of 5 or 6 Very Happy

Five or six? I'd kill for five or six, especially if I could make them look like yours.

I am happy to let this one into the Gallery. We do allow breaks and i dont see why it has to be split up into 12 hours if people dont want that.

Thanks. I'll post a good studio shot in a day or so when I get a chance. If you count just the building time it was probably pretty close to 24 hours.

That's a lovely model, especially when you consider the time it took to finish it.

Regards,
Bruce
